Suspension Bridge Closures

Clifton Suspension Bridge was closed to cars again last weekend, and probably will be again the next two weekends -pedestrians and cyclists walking their bikes only.

Which makes it a lovely time to walk over. No traffic, no noise, and nice views of the city

You can also see that they are adding a new layer of plywood over the thicker beams.

Once completed and resurfaced, these repairs will mean the bridge is good for another 20 years.

From now until 2028, then, drivers can be happily oblivious to the fact they are driving across a wooden bridge base.
