Parking techniques at junctions


The Highway Code specifies that you should not park within 32ft of the end of a junction so as to avoid creating a blind spot. As you can see from the photograph, this 4x4 driver obviously got his imperial and metric units confused, thinking it was 32mm.

  1. The link to the Highway Code is interesting as it reveals that it's only illegal to park on pavements in London. Elsewhere it's 'should not' park on pavements. Shame - I think it should apply to the whole country, and be strenuously enforced.
