A solution for the M32?

Sorry, no picture, but an interesting possible solution to the ghastly M32 car park which stabs at the heart of Bristol. Just as the River Frome was encased in concrete to make way for the car, why not encase the M32?. Those clever Germans are way ahead again....

Oh, hang on. I just woke up. This is Britain, land of half measures and transport f**k ups. Darn!!.

These Germans just don't understand motoring culture. What is the point in covering over a motorway and it's traffic when the main point of it is to display to the world (and the little suburbs it smashes through) that the majestic car is the epitome of industrial evolution. Unlike here, they are probably embarrassed by their lack of sense of design and innovation in this area.

Funny, this morning as I came around St James Barton I hatched a plan to tunnel the road and roundabout down into the bear pit, cover it over, and then lift the greenery up to street level into a beautiful piazza type thing.

Great minds. . .

This doesn't go far enough, we should use this method to cover up.. say... Swindon.
