I would have stopped for a kid but not 'im!

Lovely bit of traffic jam road rage here, with the driver of S164JRP and his dog giving the cyclist a hard time for trying to cross through near-stationary traffic




There's a bit of fun after 1:10 where the driver in front says a lot of kids come that way -would he have stopped then?

To which the driver says "I would have stopped for a kid but not 'im!"

We don't advocate showing preferential treatment to anyone -children, adults, slow-moving elderly. If you let kids cross the road safely, then you will lure them into complacency which will only get them run over as they get older. Furthermore, there's the question of "when does adulthood begin?". Do you stop for kids under 16 but not above that? Is 18 the threshold -even if they are still at school?

It's just too hard to discriminate this way -just abuse everyone and be done with it.

Bristol has some rugby teams. Not well known, because they don't do much to draw attention.

Yet here, from redvee2002, we see how supportive the Bristol Saracens Rugby Team are of their community, by celebrating the art of paveparking!

For outsiders, the dual carriageway on the right leads to the M5 and the Shopping Paradise that is Cribbs Causeway. It was untainted by riots in the summer as it is not within walking distance of anywhere. The bike path alongside the dual carriageway is intended to permit even poor people to come and shop. But as these cyclists, even the fit-healthy and affluent ones, cannot buy 42" 3D plasma Freeview HD televisions on the basis they can't get them home, these people just don't bring enough money to the region. Rugby spectators are far more welcome, as after the match they can head up the road and keep the economy afloat by using their credit card to pick up something expensive they didn't really need.

Bus work in Henbury

We see a bus, here on Crow Lane, Henbury

Why is that unusual? Well, FirstBus are stopping buses coming past here from 18:30 onwards as it is too dangerous -the drivers keep being robbed. They may go through the area, but they won't stop. On the back of this bus is a mural encouraging people to walk. Sensitive that.
