The Adventures of KN56ARO

Bristol can be a bit snobby.

So if you're not in Clifton it's nice to treat your 4x4 to a bit of proper off-road action to make up for not parking in The Mall. Which is what the owner of KN56ARO does every so often

in the Gloucester Road. When not parking on yellow lines...

It's pleasing to see a such commitment, and

so much creativity.

Yellow lines, build-outs, pavements. Ye Gods! It wouldn't happen in Clifton.

A lot of the places in front of shops are actually private land that just happens to have pavement surface on it. So it's often fine to park there, as long as you don't drive on the rest of the pavement to get there.

think you also need permission from the owner though, otherwise: trespass, damages, etc. That CAV store on Gloucester Road is to-let, so clearly it's not their premises -and yes, you do need to drive over the pavement to get there. Sometimes you are allowed to drive over pavements to get onto propery though -that's how you are allowed in and out of driveways.

I think that final photo is one of the side roads that feed in to Gloucester Road -it looks familiar, though I can't place it.

True. Driving over pavements is fine and you can even apply for permission to put drop kerb in ... at a cost of a few thousand £UKP. Just don't drive on the pavement on a bike! You'll just be proving how evil ALL cyclists are if you do that!

The last pic looks like Claremont Road.
