Buses Only on Cotham Brow

Cotham Brow is closed for road works; they are slowly moving up the hill. Until completed, the road is closed to everything but buses.
Therefore, this Saab P402 FRX is a bus.

As is this Bristol Taxi and the AA van going the other way.

And these two cars.
'
Being down to one lane, Cotham Brow is very narrow now. Which is why it was closed to all but buses. But nobody is bothering to enforce it. Why not? Are the drivers trusted? Is enforcement of traffic regulations no longer something the council bothers to do?

Maybe its because the buses get to enforce the rules themselves. Here is the #20 bus forcing a golf to reverse

When the next bus came along, the cars gave up and turned back up Archfield road.

Conclusion: buses make the best enforcers of bus-lane rules.

But... but...

Didn't you know: car drivers pay "road" tax.

Therefore car drivers "own" the road.

It must be true because they all keep telling everyone so.

Which means car drivers can drive how they want where they want and how they want.

Everybody knows that.
